March 24, 2009: TWITTER MARKETING If you haven't tweeted, then you're missing out on one of the best forms of SMS (Short Message Service). Twitter (for you noobs) is a social media platform that allows you to send mass instant messages to your friends and followers. It's kind of like a digital entourage in the Mark Walberg sort of way. Here's how one person has taken Twitter one step beyond. To view the AdAge article, click here.
February 11, 2009 : GET DESCRIPTIVE WITH DOMAIN NAMES Here's a great article I pulled from AdWeek on getting descriptive with domain names. Names like whoppervirgins.com, underwear.com for Calvin Klein and baby.com for Johnson & Johnson. To read the AdWeek article, click here.

February 1, 2009 : CAUSE-RELATED MARKETING : HAAGEN-DAZS "BEES" It seems like everyone needs help these days. The banks. The Big 3. Now the Bees. This marketing initiative was designed to bring awareness to the shrinking population of the humble honey bee. Bee boys hit it!
February 1, 2009 : HEINEKEN : WALK-IN CLOSET A classic example of taking something familar and putting a nice little twist on it.
January 25, 2009 : REPAIRING THE BIG 3 CAR CRASH Public perception of the Big 3 is horrible. And it should be with their job banks and million dollar corporate jets. However, the question is can their image be repaired before they go bankrupt? Well, if free market capitalists had their way, they would be ripped apart to see who sinks and who swims. Personally, I'd rather not let our auto industry go down. What they need is an image campaign that will change their perception of their products. They are not the inferior products that the average Joe thinks. In fact, the Chevy Malibu has just made Car of the Year and best in class in fuel economy. Also, GM has more hybrid cars on the road than any other manufacturer, foreign or domestic. So Big 3 — a word of advice. Get back that image where being "Made in America" actually means something. Develope better advertising. Find a new PR agency. And get back to making and selling great cars at an affordable prices.
January 21, 2009 : DON'T BANK ON BANK OF AMERICA A perfect example of greed and lack of due diligence. What were you guys thinking when you bought Merrill Lynch? I can rant for hours on how I watched my stock in your company plummet right before my eyes. But I can't right now, cause I'm at the Versateller withdrawing all my money and then I'm going to go stuff it under my mattress.
